This is our weekly round-up of the lowest cached one-way fares on low-cost airlines out of London. This week every fare in the batch leaves from London Gatwick Airport. Gatwick is not the only place to look for cheap flights from London, but it is where this set comes from.

First, what these numbers are. They are cached one-way fares for one adult, found by our flight-search partner on the dates shown: 22 October 2026 and 24 October 2026. They are not live prices. They change constantly, and some will have moved by the time you read this. Our partner returns them in euros, so that is how we quote them, even for a London departure.

Short city breaks: Dublin and Paris

Comparing all the fares listed in this article, the lowest is Dublin at 18 EUR with Ryanair, found on 24 October 2026 for travel in November 2026. Ryanair is an Irish group, and Dublin is its second-biggest base after London Stansted. The Gatwick link is an old one: the airline's first service, on 8 July 1985, ran between Waterford and London Gatwick.

Know what that fare buys. Ryanair's ticket covers the seat and one small personal bag of up to 40 x 30 x 20 cm, which must fit under the seat in front. A larger cabin bag, checked bags and seat selection are all sold separately. If you can travel with a laptop bag and nothing more, a fare like this is genuinely cheap. If you cannot, the base price is only part of the story. You can find more on our Dublin airport page.

Next is Paris Charles de Gaulle at 31 EUR with easyJet, found on 22 October 2026 for travel in December 2026. Gatwick is one of easyJet's main airports, and the group is a big operator there. Its half-year report gave a fleet of 356 aircraft at 31 March 2026, counting the whole airline group across its three operating certificates (source).

Spain in the off-season: Barcelona and Madrid

easyJet also supplies both Spanish fares this week:

  • Barcelona at 29 EUR, found on 22 October 2026, for travel in November 2026.
  • Madrid Barajas at 32 EUR, found on 22 October 2026, for travel in December 2026.

These are classic London low-cost flights: short, frequent and aimed at weekenders. Our Barcelona airport page covers the arrival end.

easyJet's included allowance is a small under-seat bag of up to 45 x 36 x 20 cm and up to 15 kg. A large cabin bag of up to 56 x 45 x 25 cm, stored in the overhead locker, is a paid add-on unless you hold easyJet Plus or an Inclusive Plus fare. Every passenger gets an allocated seat, with a fee to choose a particular one. For a two-night city break with a soft rucksack, the basic fare can work.

Further afield: Antalya and Oslo

The one beach-resort destination in the batch is Antalya at 42 EUR with Jet2.com, found on 22 October 2026 for travel in December 2026. Jet2 is a newcomer at Gatwick: its base there opened in late March 2026 with six aircraft. Turkey is one of its main markets, and most of its seats are sold as part of a package holiday through Jet2holidays, but it does sell single seats too. See our Antalya airport page for more.

Jet2's included luggage is more generous than the others here. Every passenger except infants gets hand luggage of up to 10 kg and no larger than 56 x 45 x 25 cm, plus a small under-seat bag of up to 40 x 30 x 20 cm. On busy flights the larger bag may have to go in the hold. Hold baggage is an add-on.

Finally, Oslo at 66 EUR with Norwegian, found on 22 October 2026 for travel in November 2026. Oslo is Norwegian's home ground; the company is headquartered at Fornebu, just outside the city. Its cheapest LowFare ticket includes one small under-seat cabin bag of 30 x 40 x 20 cm, up to 10 kg, and no checked bag. The LowFare+ and Flex tickets add an overhead bag and checked luggage. Our Oslo airport page has more.

How to use these fares

A cached fare is a signal, not a promise. A few habits make it more useful.

  1. Treat the month as a window. Each fare is tied to a departure month, not a guaranteed day, so be ready to search across that month.
  2. Price your bags before you compare. The airlines above include very different things in their cheapest tickets. The allowances quoted here come from each airline's baggage pages, read on 24 October 2026; check your booking for what your fare includes.
  3. Check the schedule. Our Gatwick departures board shows who flies where from the airport.
  4. Search fresh. If one of these trips suits you, you can check current prices on our Book Flights page.

Our take

In our view, this week's batch says more about Gatwick than about any single airline. easyJet supplies most of the city-break fares here, which is what you would expect from an airline that treats the airport as a home base. Jet2's presence is the newer story, and worth watching as its Gatwick operation settles in.

We would also be wary of reading the headline numbers in isolation. The Dublin fare is the lowest on the page, but it comes with the smallest included bag of the group. The Antalya fare sits higher, yet includes a 10 kg cabin bag. For anyone travelling with more than a laptop bag, those rules matter at least as much as the price on the first screen. Pick the trip first, check what the cheapest ticket actually includes, then decide whether the bargain is still a bargain.
