Air Arabia Maroc

Air Arabia Maroc is a Moroccan low-cost airline in the Air Arabia group, flying under the 3O code. It does not have a separate brand or booking site: its flights are sold on airarabia.com alongside those of the group's airlines in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Egypt. As of October 2026, Air Arabia's company-information page lists Air Arabia Maroc SA, based in Casablanca, as the operating company for flights from, to or via Morocco, with Laila Mechbal as chief executive and Morocco's Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile as its regulator.

Origins

The airline was set up as a partnership between Air Arabia, Regional Air Lines and Ithmaar Bank. It was launched on 29 April 2009 and began flying on 6 May that year, with a first service from Casablanca to London Stansted. The first routes all ran from Casablanca, to Brussels, London, Marseille, Milan and Paris. In October 2019 it announced plans to close its base at Agadir.

Bases and network

The airline is built around flights between Moroccan cities and Europe, with some domestic routes. In February 2024 it said Rabat–Salé had become its seventh Moroccan base, a month after Tétouan, joining Casablanca, Nador, Oujda, Fès and Tangier, and that it served more than 65 routes from those bases with a fleet of Airbus A320s. Its press releases since then, published mostly in French, have been about new routes:

• November 2024: domestic routes from Rabat to Nador and Oujda.
• May 2025: Nador to Murcia in Spain, from 3 May.
• 28 October 2025: Tangier to Rotterdam, three times a week on an A320.

A June 2026 report by the route-tracking site AeroRoutes listed summer 2026 frequency changes on more than 20 Moroccan routes to Europe, mostly increases: Casablanca–Milan Bergamo, for example, was planned to go from six to ten weekly flights between July and September 2026, while Rabat–Paris Charles de Gaulle was cut from five to four. The Air Arabia group's half-year results of 13 August 2026 said five new routes had been launched across its hubs, including Morocco, in the first half of 2026, without listing them.

Fleet

Air Arabia Maroc flies Airbus A320s. The group does not publish a fleet figure for the Moroccan airline in the documents read for this profile; the group as a whole operates Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft.

Onboard

Air Arabia sells food and drink through its SkyCafe menu and runs the Air Rewards loyalty programme across its airlines. On flights from and to Morocco it sells the same three fare bundles as elsewhere in the group, Basic, Value and Ultimate, with different baggage and change rules for international and domestic Moroccan flights.
