About Fly Jinnah
Fly Jinnah is a Pakistani low-cost airline based in Karachi. It is a joint venture between Pakistan's Lakson Group and the Air Arabia Group of the United Arab Emirates. Its own website says it follows the low-cost model, and Air Arabia's influence shows in the details: the airline flies Airbus A320s, and Wikipedia lists AirRewards, Air Arabia's loyalty programme, as its frequent-flyer scheme. The chairman is Iqbal Ali Lakhani of the Lakson Group.
From joint venture to first flight
The joint venture was announced on 3 September 2021. Fly Jinnah's first flight took off on 31 October 2022, from Jinnah International Airport in Karachi to Islamabad. The first year was domestic only. In October 2023, after a year of domestic operations, Pakistan's federal cabinet, acting on the recommendation of the aviation ministry, gave the airline permission to fly international routes. In 2024 Fly Jinnah was one of the parties, alongside Airblue, that showed interest in acquiring Pakistan International Airlines, the state flag carrier.
Network
Wikipedia lists three bases: Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport. The network combines domestic routes within Pakistan with international flights to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. On 22 August 2026 ProPakistani reported that Fly Jinnah would open a Karachi–Riyadh route on 18 September 2026, starting with three flights a week and moving to daily flights from October.
Fleet
Fly Jinnah flies only the Airbus A320, in a 174-seat layout. A Wikipedia fleet table dated September 2026 lists nine A320s in service, two of them wet-leased from Air Arabia (leased with crew), and two more to come from Air Arabia's own Airbus order.
Fares
The airline sells three fare bundles, Basic, Value and Ultimate, with different rules for domestic and international flights. All three include the same cabin allowance. Checked baggage, meals and seat selection are extra on Basic, while Value and Ultimate include a checked allowance, a snack or hot meal and a free seat from a set row onwards. Changes and refunds become more restricted the closer the flight is, and cash refunds are not available on the Basic fare. The airline publishes these inclusions on its website and says bookings made through travel agents should ask for the bundle that suits them.
