About Corendon Airlines
Corendon Airlines is a Turkish leisure airline headquartered in Antalya, legally registered as Turistik Hava Taşımacılık A.Ş. and owned by the Corendon tourism group. Its business is mainly holiday flying: it carries tourists from Europe to sun destinations, runs direct flights between European cities and towns in Anatolia, and operates both scheduled and charter services. Its main bases are Antalya and İzmir Adnan Menderes airports.
Origins and group
According to the airline's corporate page, Corendon began as a tour operator in the Netherlands in the early 2000s and grew into an international tourism group covering air transport, inbound travel services and hotels. The airline was founded in 2004 and made its first flight on 12 April 2005, from Eindhoven to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen; Corendon says it was the first company to launch passenger flights at that airport. Two sister airlines followed: Corendon Dutch Airlines in the Netherlands, founded in 2011, and Corendon Airlines Europe in Malta, founded in 2017. The three share the Corendon brand; the baggage rules on corendonairlines.com apply only to flights numbered XC (Corendon Airlines) and XR (Corendon Airlines Europe); flights numbered CD are handled by the Dutch site.
Fleet
The group flies only Boeing 737s: the 737-800 and the 737 MAX 8. Corendon's fleet page gives the 737-800 a capacity of 189 passengers.
Network and traffic
As of October 2026, Corendon's corporate and fleet pages say the group flies to 165 airports in 65 countries and carries 6 million passengers a year. Destinations are spread across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and include longer leisure routes such as Curaçao, which the airline's news page lists from both Amsterdam and Düsseldorf. Wikipedia records a codeshare with TUI Airways and an interline agreement with Hahn Air.
Fares
Corendon sells fares in several bands, which differ mainly in baggage:
- Promo and Lite: an under-seat bag only.
- Eco: an under-seat bag and a 10 kg cabin bag.
- Comfort: an under-seat bag and a 20 kg checked bag.
- Flex and Premium: an under-seat bag, a 10 kg cabin bag and a checked bag of 23 kg or 30 kg respectively.
The Premium allowance changed for bookings made from 2 April 2026; earlier Premium bookings keep two checked bags of 20 kg each.
