Breeze Airways vs JetBlue: fleets and facts compared

Breeze's help centre article "Bag Allowance and Dimensions" sets out these limits. Sizes and weights only; carry-on and checked bags are bought separately or come with a bundle.

• Personal item: one per guest at no charge, such as a purse, briefcase, small backpack or laptop bag. It must fit under the seat in front and not exceed 17 x 13 x 8 inches.
• Carry-on bag: one per guest, bought individually or included in bundles. Maximum 22 x 14 x 9 inches including handles and wheels, and no more than 35 lb. If overhead bins are full, carry-ons may have to be checked.
• Checked bags: maximum 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and 50 lb. Larger or heavier bags are charged as oversized or overweight. Bags over 99 lb or 80 linear inches are not accepted.
• Pet carriers count as the personal item. The under-seat space at standard and extra-legroom seats is 17 x 8 x 13 inches, and carriers do not fit under Breeze Ascent seats.

JetBlue's help pages list the following limits. Sizes and weights only; checked-bag charges depend on fare and route.

• Carry-on bag: one per customer on all fares, up to 22 x 14 x 9 inches (55.88 x 35.56 x 22.86 cm) including wheels and handles. It can go in the overhead bin or under the seat. There is no weight limit, but you must be able to lift it into the bin.
• Personal item: one per customer, such as a purse, small backpack, briefcase or laptop, up to 17 x 13 x 8 inches (43.2 x 33 x 20.32 cm), stowed under the seat in front.
• Not counted towards the carry-on limit: assistive devices, a reasonable amount of duty-free goods, one diaper bag for a lap infant, and items such as a coat, umbrella or infant car seat.
• Checked bags: up to 62 inches (157.48 cm) in total dimensions and 50 lb (22.68 kg). Bags of 63 to 80 inches, or 51 to 99 lb, are treated as oversized or overweight. Bags over 80 inches or 99 lb are not accepted. Some destinations, such as Ecuador, have their own limits.
