Southwest Airlines retiring older 737s to Victorville
In preparation of the arrival of newest version of the Boeing 737 Max, Southwestis retiring its Boeing 737-300s from service. Most of the existing 737 fleet will be sent to a Southern California Logistics Airport.
On October 1, it's Boeing 737 MAX 8 purchases will enter service.
The first to be retired will be 67 737-300 aircraft. 18 are alredy in storage. Most will be sent for storage. The last revenue flight for the 737-300s will be on Sept. 29, according to a Southwest spokesman.
